Pumpkin Week

This week was a success! We scooped out some pumpkin goo from our class pumpkin and let everyone take turns describing, feeling & smelling it.  They had fun with this.

In circle time, we talked about pumpkins and their life cycles and also made some fun crafts throughout the week.

The children spent Wednesday morning on their field trip at the pumpkin patch at Carrigan Farms.

Fire Safety Week!

This was such a busy week!  We practiced fire drills every day this week and talked about dialing 911 for emergencies.

Fireman Troy Smith also stopped by for a visit and showed all the children his gear that he wears when on a call.  Thank you very much Mr. Smith!

Ms. Maria & Ms. Gale dressed up in the fire gear and so did some of the children.  They were able to get a feel for how heavy the fire gear is.

We also sprayed shaving cream (our pretend fire extinguishers) and the children practiced writing letters in it.

Leaf Week

This week we talked all about leaves and why they change colors.  We also talked about hibernation.  Ask your children if they want to go on a bear hunt!

Apple Week!

Taste testing our homemade applesauce!

Here's our class graph on likes & dislikes. :)  Overall it was a big hit.
